Did you know that Philadelphia is home to the largest Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service in the country?

Last year more than 145,000 people worked on 1,800 projects city-wide. The numbers for 2018 are expected to be even higher as people honor Dr. King’s dedication to community service. Once again, the Unitarian Society of Germantown will host an MLK Day of Service and there are plenty of opportunities for you to be involved.

You can sign up to work on any of our 32 service projects by visiting www.mlkphillyuus.org.

On that site we’ve listed descriptions of all the available service projects and a schedule of the day’s activities. All service projects are either close to USG or are here on-site at USG. Not sure how you can help? Contact Connie Simon or one of our Project Coordinators, Kay Weiser (external/off-site projects), Dennis Brunn (school projects) or Melissa Guerriero (on-site USG projects).
