Join the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Lower Bucks and other congregations in the Philly area to walk in support of the LGBT community on Saturday, May 21, 2016. Our congregations have been participating in this parade for the past 5 years, and have enjoyed joining other faiths as we walk to affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person. If you, or your congregation would like to join us, please contact us in advance at firstname.lastname@example.org or find us in the staging area by 11:15am on the day of the parade.

The parade is about a mile’s walk, and takes about an hour. It travels down the quaint streets of New Hope, PA – full of restaurants, bars, antique shops and more so consider staying after to enjoy the town. Parking may be tricky near the staging area (actually in Lambertville, NJ) but our group has used the New Hope Solebury High School to park in the past.
Our congregation usually teams with our Religious Education team, to have a banner making event a week or two before the parade, and our youth, and adults, love waiving our signs and getting cheers from the crowds on parade day. If your congregation has a banner, please consider bringing it, and wear your yellow Standing on the Side of Love, or your church’s t-shirt.
